Location
The Mirror Houses are located in a remote area of a family-run farm near the Oxfordshire village of Kirtlington. They are hidden away in woodland in the grounds of the Kirtlington Park Polo Club, next to a Capability Brown-designed lake.
Steeped in history and surrounded by stunning landscapes, Kirtlington offers a peaceful and idyllic retreat from city life.
The Mirror Houses
Each house has decking carefully built around the surrounding trees, complete with a BBQ, outdoor furniture and either a private hot tub, outside bath or sauna. Inside they come with wifi, air conditioning and heating, a bathroom comprising a shower and loo, a very comfortable king size bed and kitchen including a fridge, induction hob top, toaster, kettle and kitchen essentials.
Our houses are set up for two people. We regret that other than babes in arms, we are unable to accommodate children

Hot Tub
Whatcombe
Named after the yard from where Charlie’s Grandfather trained two Derby winners, Whatcombe has an arching deck with a hot tub built within it. Interior fabric by Kate Forman adds a touch of contemporary colour inside.
Hot Tub & Outdoor Bath
Ackleton
At the Northern most point of the wood, Ackleton has its own private hot tub and outdoor bath. For music lovers, it also sports Bang and Olufsen speakers inside the cabin. The interiors are from eco brand the Haines Collection
Hot Tub
Littleton
With its south facing decking and drop down to a hot tub, this is one of our favourite houses. The interiors are softened by Kate Forman fabrics and its name is a nod to the village of West Littleton where Lucy grew up.
Hot tub & Outdoor Bath
Haycroft
Located at the western end of the wood, you can enjoy the hot tub & outside bath under the leaves and glimpse through woodland at the great oak trees of the original parkland. The interiors are from eco brand the Haines Collection using Fermoie fabric.
Hot Tub
Cordle
This house is named after the wood it faces over the other side of the lake. The decking includes a hot tub and the interior represents a stylish blend of an Estonian finish with upholstery by Kate Forman to add an English feel.
Sauna
Walkers
Walkers is named after the field beyond the wood it is in, and is the only house to have its own private sauna. The bed is upholstered in Zoe Glencross fabric adding a soft touch to the slick Estonian finish.
Hot Tub
Cubley
This is another house for those who like a hot tub under the stars. It is at the eastern edge of the wood, and the interior represents a stylish blend of an Estonian finish with upholstery by Kate Forman to add an English feel.
Our Partners
We had the BEST time — honestly, we didn’t want to leave. It’s exactly the kind of place you picture when you think “cozy cabin getaway.” Quiet, private, and so relaxing. It had everything we needed. We used the bbq (even in the rain) and the hot tub was such a lovely touch. It was even more beautiful waking up with the views all around us. We would definitely recommend staying here.
